Kufi
The Kufi is a cap that Muslim men wear. The Kufi is from Africa. A Kufi is used for praying, Eid, Mosques, and just about anywhere! Muslim men wear this hat because it was made for men and women wear the hijab. It's often made of kente cloth, mudcloth, or knitted crocheted in a variety of yarns. You can also use it when you read the Quran (The book for Islam).
I chose this because I have loads of them in my house so I chose this. It teaches me about my culture because you wear it all the time when you pray. That's why it teaches me about my culture. It’s basically connected to every Muslim because Muslim people wear it. Something that connects to these big ideas are the looks: it could be hard and skull shaped or fabric like and round shaped.
Questions for my AncestorsWhy was this created? Why are there so many kinds of designs? Why are there so many different cloths used? Why are these 2 specific shapes? My final thought is the 2 kinds of Kufis are beautiful and I love them and it should stay as it is.
