Kiddush Cup
This is a kiddush cup. My Dad got it as a gift in Israel. We use it every Friday night, before dinner. My Dad pours grape juice into the cup and lights two candles. He then says a prayer in Hebrew. After we finish the prayer, we drink the grape juice from oldest to youngest. We use it basically for every jewish holiday like Shabat, Passover, Hanukkah, Rosh Hashanah, etc. The kiddush cup that I have is made of iron. Kiddush means a ceremony of a prayer and blessing over wine, performed by the head of a Jewish home at the meal ushering in the Sabbath (on a Friday night) or a holy day, or at the lunch preceding it.
