I've been wearing a necklace called the Jade Buddha Necklace ever since I was later. I got this from my grandma who got it for me from a priest. The necklace is tied with a red tie and the jade is green. I know this was meant to keep me safe and healthy, but what I never understood was why does the tie has to be red. I stopped wearing the necklace after junior high school, I consider the necklace a bit girly because of the red tie. It feels awkward that other people I know that practice the same religion as me doesn't wear have red tie on it but instead they wear a silver necklace with the shape of half moon.
