Itallian Bracelet
This is a bracelet that my Great Grandpa John sent his sister when he was in the Merchant Marines. He got it for his sister while he was in Venice, Italy around 1944. He lied about his age(17), so he could join the Merchant Marines. Years passed and my great great aunt decided to give it back to him to give to one of his daughters. My Grandma was the lucky sister and got the bracelet. My Great Grandpa John got to travel, something most motherless and basically fatherless boys just dream of. He has worked hard all his life. This bracelet probably isn't worth anything except the person who bought it. The person who bought this was a young man who grew up way to fast, and who always worked hard not just for himself, but for his family. My Great Grandpa wasn't a immigrant, but in my opinion he faced some of the same hardships as many immigrants.
