When my Father immigrated to America, his Italian influence motivates his interest in soccer and buys one of his favorite jerseys, Vieri. He was a famous Italian player that played from 1990 - 2005 he played for years after but did not have many appearances, but he is an Italian legend and is a well-respected player in the soccer scene, he is considered one of the best players of all time and is in the top 10 for the most Italian international goals for Italy. My dad was interested in soccer since he was a little boy and he played in the streets of Italy when he was really young Until he came to America at the age of 12 to play on the glen cove high school team. He experienced such a great player while I couldn't,  and bought a souvenir which he then passed down to me and then my brother as well. Every time I look at this jersey now or when I wore it as a kid I would always think about my dad's early childhood in Italy where he played on the streets whereas now there are formal leagues and people play on turf fields. This jersey is significant in my family because most of my family enjoys soccer and it just shows how my father's Italian heritage has spread through our family, it also shows how his implanted his Italian roots into our family.
