Irish Farm Doll
My artifact is an Irish farm doll. The object is a blonde haired doll wearing a farm dress. She is made out of glass. The doll came from Ireland. My aunt Mary gave it to me and told me it was her moms. Before my grandma went to Boston in 1932 she bought the doll to remind her of home and when she came back she gave it to my aunt. This object is important to me because it was my grandmas. It also shows how farm women dressed back then. This object connects to my culture because the doll is from Ireland and I’m Irish. One fun fact about the doll is that she has a crack on her forehead because when my aunt was little she was playing with it and was throwing it up in the air. It then fell and a crack was forever placed on the doll’s forehead.
