Hijab
My hijab is very important to me because it represents me and makes me feel safe. My parents taught me about the hijab. Your probabaly wondering how every muslim knows about the hijab, well the Quran is what informs muslims on everything about our religion islam. It’s like the bible, but for muslims. The hijab fits in the religion and culture category. It originated in Saudi Arabia. Many muslim girls around the world wear the hijab including me. We wear the hijab to cover our hair from men and for respect. I used to be nervous wearing a hijab. I thought I looked bad and people would make fun of me. But stating in 7th grade and now in 8th grade, I feel more confident of wearing it and it makes me feel proud of wearing it and about my religion. My parents didn’t force me to wear the hijab. I chose to. Me and my sister decided to start from middle school. I have been wanting to wear the hijab since I was little. But my parents thought it was a good idea for us to start in middle school. My mother always t0ld me,” The hijab identify’s you and shows people you are muslim.” When people see me, and my hijab, they see that I am a muslim which is the best part of wearing the hijab. The hijab speaks for itself. Ever since I have been wearing the hijab, it makes me feel protected. It makes me feel happy. It makes me feel me.
