Heart Collection

Group:

My object is a  huge collection throughout my family containing different types of hearts. They could be copper, medal, a heart shaped rock, anything that represents a heart. You just have to promise to keep it stored in a safe place until the next girl generation passes it on so you can give it to them.I don’t know the exact history of this object, but I do know it has been through my mom, her mom, my grandma’s mom, and my great grandma’s mom. Maybe there were more generations but that is what I’ve heard. Each heart is super unique. My favorite one’s are the glass pieces. Each glass heart is twirled in some sort of thick paste to have a neat looking twirled design. I also like this flowery box. Inside of the box is a tiny medal heart in the same pattern as the box. This is important to me because, I love passing on objects down generations as if each generation gets to “feel” what this object brings to our family. It made me feel very special when I got that object because, I knew I would take great care of it and earn a lot of trust.None of my classmates have this same object but I’m okay with that. I feel unique that I have an object that is so special and unique to my family. My favorite part about the heart collection is that it brings me so much joy. Whenever I’m feeling down I might take some out, rub on a sentimental rock, or even admire what it brought to our family. It’s truly very special, and I’m grateful I got to be a part of this journey!
