Ay que noche tan preciosa is the venezuelan Happy birthday song, It’s a very long song compared to many other HBD songs i’ve heard. In every birthday me and my family sing and clap to this song with the biggest smiles on our face while also changing the lyrics just a bit to make it funnier. Since my family and I moved to the US this song has stuck with us and we continue to sing it even in parties where the Birthday person or family isn’t even venezuelan because to us it’s not just a song to celebrate, it’s a part of our culture and who we are and we love to share that with those around us. This song unites people together giving a happier and more exciting environment to be around. A thing that really sticks out to me is every single time we sing happy birthday mi abuelita is always in the corner of someone’s video shaking her hands, like jazz hands, at the birthday person’s face which really does show her fun and caring side and love for others. This is one of the most important things my family will never let go off since it was one of the only things we can keep from our home country with us.
