My mother grew up with five siblings, a mother, and an alcoholic father. Her main goal as young as she could remember was to provide a better life for her future children compared to how she will living in Tejalpa, Morales, Mexico. In the 1980's she immigrated here and was successfully hired for a few jobs even though she knew very little English. My father would be working on a farm with my grandpa just on the border of Mexico and Texas. He worked since he was a small boy to learn how to care for his future family. Hard work at a young age is an undermined blessing people don't realize. My parents met and had the same goals in mind, which was to allow their children privileges they were not allowed to take advantage of. This picture goes to show that countless years, energy, and work my parents put in their lives to ensure my brother and I live the happiest life we can.
