Hand-made Rosary
My father immigrated from the Dominican Republic in 2005. He came to the United States in search of better opportunities and a new job. At first, he came alone because he needed to find a place to stay. After a few years, my father went back to the Dominican Republic to get us and bring us to the United States. Before we came to the United States, my Grandmother made this rosary out of nylon. In order to make it right, you need a lot of patience. She made three of them before we left, one for each of us children. Eleven years later, I still have my rosary on my wrist. Every time I miss my grandmother, I just look at my rosary and I remember all the good times we had in the Dominican Republic.
