Haitian Flag
Every car ride, family get together, or just looking around in my room I see the flag of my family’s country. The place that connects us all, our foundation.
A mix of red and blue, blue on the top and red being out the bottom, along with a white box in the middle painting a picture of liberty. When the flag is waving in the air, all the colors mix creating a wave of color.
The family of my country was instilled into me since the day I was born. Our flag is deeper than blue and red printed on fabric, it's a symbol of our freedom. Freedom from the French, freedom of slavery, and freedom to freely be Haitian with pride. In my family, any chance we can get we’re waving our flags high, showing our pride of being a ZOE (Haitian). Passing down to me.
