The Haitian Flag

I come from Haiti. I came to the U.S. when I was 17 years old. I Remember before I came U.S my sister gave me a Haitian Flag and she told me "never forget where you come from". After a few weeks in New York I adapted to the American lifestyle but, I never forgot my culture and what my sister said to me. Every time when I walk in the street, I see some people have the Haitian flag on their head and speaking Creole especially on May 18th because is all about celebrating the culture and heritage of the Haitian flag. That makes me happy and more proud of my country. I choose the Haitian flag because it represents me, my family and every Haitian background. Every time I look at this flag it reminds me of my sister and my country because they mean so much to me and my family.
