I exist because of a guitar. My parents met at a bar that my dad’s band was playing at. He was the lead guitar player. My dad got the guitar for his 14th birthday from my grandfather. It is sort of a tradition because my family comes from a long line of musicians. My dad’s side of the family comes from German roots. In Germany guitar is an important part of the culture. So naturally our tradition has to do with guitars. My family's tradition goes all the way back to my great-great-great grandfather. The guitar my dad got was a Fender Stratocaster made in Mexico. This specific guitar was important to our family because our family has always gotten fender guitars. My family's story isn’t very unique, but it still is important to my family and my dad’s culture.
