My great grandfather's Violin.

This is a story of a special violin that I was just recently told about by my mother and aunt. The reason this violin is so special is because it was passed down from generations to generations. It was my great grandfather’s violin. My great grandfather was a man of many instruments, so he knew a vast amount of knowledge about instruments. My great grandfather was a music teacher and had music with him throughout his entire life. He and his sons even played together in Mexico. The violin was made from a special type of wood and I was told only a few were made from that wood. Our family is still unsure exactly what type of wood it came from or even knows where exactly it is now. We do know it might be with my Great Uncles in Mexico and most likely in rough condition knowing how old it is.  This violin connects to my family because it shows that our family has had and still has a talent and love for music. It holds close to me because his talent seems to be passed down to me. since I have learned two instruments and am learning a third. The story of my Great Grandfather inspires me to continue practicing new instruments and learn those instruments with a passion and love for them.
