My dad’s family moved here from Lebanon. Lebanon is a small country in the Middle East.His family moved here because there was a civil war. They hade lived in Kansas for two years before his parents had him. He grew up eating grape leaves a middle eastern dish. So since he grew up eating them so did I, and I am glade that I did  because they are really good and he is really good at making them. I never met my grandmother because she died before I was born but my dad said that she was the best cook much better than him. That sounds crazy because he was the best cook ever. So that is why grape leaves are important to me.
