For this project I chose my grandpa’s firefighter helmet as my object. I chose this as my object because my grandpa was always there for me and was an important part of my family. His being a firefighter impacted my dad a lot; one way is that from a very young age he understood why people help each other instead of making more money. Another way my dad was impacted is he had to cope with his dad being gone most of the time. Although being a firefighter was helping a lot of people, it was very stressful for their family. Although I never saw him as a firefighter, I have stories, lots and lots of stories. I loved hearing his stories and thought it was so cool to have a firefighter as a grandpa. Firefighting has been a big part of my family and culture. I hope to never forget my culture no matter what.
