My Grandmother or as I call her my Oma, wrote this book to capture the full story of her life which still has may pages to be written. Stating from the moment she was born and carrying through every chapter of her journey. She filled the pages with the memories, struggles, accomplishments, and lessons that shaped her into the strong, loving woman our family knows. This book is important to me because in know that I know that I can look back at anytime through the things that she has done. My Oma has always had so many stories to tell me. Growing up I remember learning so many things from her from past stories. Sitting in her living room indulging in the words that she is passing down to me and my cousins. book is important to me because it preserves her voice and her spirit in a way nothing else can. When I read through the book not only do I feel connected to her past memories but to my own roots, and it inspires me to carry her strength forward in my own life.
