This baby blanket is important in my life. The blanket was made by my cousin Mariana for herdaughter. After Mariana passed away, it was passed down to my daughter Ariya. Ariya has hadthis blanket since she was born and she is now 2 years old and she uses it every day. Shesleeps with it and takes it everywhere with her . Every time I see her with it I think about howlove can still be passed on even when someone isn't here anymore. It feels special knowingsomething that my cousin made with love is being cherished and comforting my daughter eventhough they never got to meet. People may see it as just a piece of fabric but that just goes toshow how something so simple can mean so much to someone. I do not see myself getting ridof this blanket any time soon. Not only does it keep my daughter warm it also makes her feelsafe and holds so many memories for me. It reminds me of how close me and my cousin wereand how much time we would spend together. The blanket is black with neon stars on it and Ithink it also represents how joyful my cousin was. Now my daughter has the same joyfulpersonality too.
