For as long as I can remember, my grandma would come over to my families house every single Christmas to make her own special recipe of Christmas cookies. I don't know what it was about these cookies my grandma would make but I have never had a cookie that tasted at all similar to them. Every single Christmas my grandma and the family would work on them to produce a big batch of cookies for everyone to share, and they were so good that around 40 cookies disappeared in around 5 days after they were made. The last couple Christmas's, my grandma hasn't been able to come over to our house to help us bake the cookies with us because of issues she has been having for the last couple years, but we keep continuing to bake them as our own special tradition. Every time I help make the cookies, I think back to the times where I would be making them with my grandma and the rest of the family, and it always gives me a nostalgic sort of feeling and even though she hasn't been able to help us with the cookies, It still feels like she is there helping with the tradition she made for our family.
