Gold Clock
Hi my name is Emanuel Negron. I am 14 years old, and I am going to tell you about my grandma who was from Puerto Rico. The object my grandma give me is a gold clock, and I respect it for so many reasons. My grandma is not longer alive, and it comes from her mom on her deathbed because the clock was passed on for a long time before me, and I now I have it to remind me of my family. The clock is from 1960s and it was given to me in 2013. It is important for me because I can use it as something special to me and to remember my grandma. Before she died, she told me that the clock was from a long time ago and said that it was given to her by her mom. When I think about it, it does make me sad because she is dead and I can’t see her anymore. I can only see her in pictures and videos. When I see and hold the clock, though, I feel like she is closer to me. The clock is also special to me because it is from Puerto Rico, where almost all of my family is from. One day my dad said that I am going to go there and see her rest.
