Gold Bracelets

When my mother's parents got married back in Trinidad, my grandfather gave these gold bracelets to my grandmother as a gift. My grandmother later gave them to my mother before she moved to New York so that my mother can have something to remember her parents by. To this day, my mother wears one of the bracelets everyday and keeps the other one away in a safe. She intends to pass them down to her grandchildren when my brother and I become adults and start families of our own.
