My object is a real gold bracelet that was given to me by my grandmother. I don’t believe that this bracelet is a generational object that’s been passed down, but my grandmother has a collection of beautiful jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, and rings made of jade, gold, etc.) that I believe is from Myanmar or China, because she’s from those places. I received it pretty recently when my grandmother and my grandfather were moving out of our house to their new apartment, and my grandmother decided to give me and my sister both a gold bracelet. She’s been a huge part of my childhood because she took care of me and used to cook meals for me frequently that were delicious. Since she means so much to me, I chose this object to dedicate it to her.
