These basketball shoes are something that I think represents me very well. I chose this specific pair because Giannis, the player who designed them, added a lot of hidden meaningful details. The logo on the tongue is a “G” and an “A” for his initials. He pays a tribute to his three children on the outsole of the shoe, with a banner that reads “Liam, Maverick, Eva”. The midsole of the right shoes says “Lagos” and the left midsole says “Athens” , representing both his and his parent’s hometown. The last main detail is on the side of his shoe are the four black waves are to represent his four brothers.  In a way the shoes almost represent Giannis’ identity. The shoes represent basketball in general, rather then just the shoes, because playing basketball is huge part of my life. It’s something I genuinely love to do. When I play it’s an indescribable feeling, different from just watching the game. Basketball for me is more than just a hobby it’s a passion. Basketball is definitely a main part of not only me but my family.
