Ghana flag
My object is my dad's Ghana flag. My father grew up in Ghana Africa and has many family there. He came to America With some of his brothers to experience something new. He took his Ghana flag with him on the journey. Every place he moved to and lived he would always hang it up. It serves as a reminder of where he came from and that he will always be apart of his culture back home. When he met my mom and they moved in together he made his home food for her and she too started to learn more about Ghanaian culture. When they had me and moved into our now home the flag still hangs. My father keeps it in his closet because it doesn't match the theme of the house but it's still in sight so he can represent where he came from as well. Many other families that have moved from a different country to America have reminders everywhere to show their roots.
