My dad is the reason why I live in Massachusetts today. Both of my parents are originally form Portugal. My dad came over to America in 1998 with my mom and he was somebody who came over from Portugal and was only 21 years old when he came to Portugal. He came to America because he wanted to get a better job and help his family out because over in Portugal there minimum wage is about $5. However once he got a job as a carpenter he decided to stay in America until he retires.
