Funeral Home
The funeral home is the only “history” I have from my family's background. There is no way to track my family's history due to the history of this country. The furthest thing back I know my family has talked about is a funeral home that they owned. The funeral home gave them a name when many other African Americans in this country were trying to find their own identity. My maternal grandmother's father owned the funeral home and my grandmother worked their for most of her life. The funeral home was in Guntersville, AL. I was fortunate to find a photo of the place searching online.
