The person I interviewed is Ms. Bigio’s godfather. His name is Patrick Elias. He is from Honduras in Central America.  The object that he chose was Tortillas. They are made out of flour, sugar, salt and yeast.  When the dough is made it’s stretched and cut into many shape and sizes. He also has a name for them, fritters.
The reason why he left his country to come to America was that his dad wanted him to have a better life.  He left when he was six years old.  It was a pull factor because he came to get better opportunity at schools. The fritters are important to him because they're his favorite food and bring back his childhood memories.
The object tells you about the experience of immigrants because fritters are a way to keep his family traditions. And it also reminds him of his homeland in Honduras.  It's important to share this person's story because so people can know what they went  through and inspire other people to share their story.
