I remember the day my friend gave me these bracelets. We were in Haiti, in my hometown, and she had just returned from a trip to New York. She told me she bought them especially for me because she knew I loved bright colors and traditional designs. The moment I put them on, I felt a deep connection to my friend and my country. The bracelets are adorned with colorful beads and patterns representative of Haitian culture. Every time I wear them, I feel proud of my roots and heritage. When I left Haiti for New York, I took these bracelets with me. They remind me of my friend and my country, and give me the strength to pursue my dreams in a new city. Today, every time I wear them, I think of my friend and the beautiful friendship we share.
