This collage shows my family’s immigration from Sweden and Egypt to the United States. My grandma and grandpa came from Egypt, and my mama came from Sweden. My grandma and grandpa came to New Jersey and mama came to Santa Cruz and then to San Francisco then to London and then finally to New York. She came here with my father. The reason she came here was to live with my father. My grandma and grandpa came together. The reason they came was because my grandpa wanted to have more freedom to travel and freedom for their children. Whenever my grandpa on my mama side comes to my house we make Swedish meatballs and it reminds me of every summer when I go to Sweden.
