My object is a fierra.  It is from Honduras. The fierra is made of black iron.  It is small and hard, and is used to brand animals with the name of their owners.  The fierra was my father’s.  He gave it to me before he died.  It is very important for me, because it has the initials of my father (EJ), and it also was a gift from him.  The fierra connects me with my culture, because it is antique, and was always used by all the cow herders, in case they lost their cows.
