Farming Machete
My grandfather from my mother's side of the family immigrated to America from the island Haiti. He left the island to provide a better life for his family of six and because of a dictator occupied the land. He immigrated to America during the late 70s being a janitor and farmer to afford enough money for his family. In the early 80s my grandfather saved enough money for his whole entire family to experience the benefits of going to america. After years of backbreaking work my grandfather provided his family being a farmer luckily he had a farming machete he took with him to America to help him with his farming job. It had a long steel blade with a short wooden handle. My grandfather has no regrets of leaving the island and is proud of his accomplishments of giving his family a better life in America.
