Family Story Book - 1986
This book, "The Descendants of Francois Xavier Monnet and Marie Clémence Vuillaume Through Five Generations in America" was written by my distant cousin, Richard J Schrader. It is the story of my ancestors migrating to the US from France. The Monnets came to the US to escape taxes and revolutions, and to take advantage of America's abundant farmland; it was peaceful immigration. It includes all of the generations of my family up to my great-grandparents and is like a giant family tree. My grandma was given a copy of this book, which is important to my family as it is amazing that we have the exact details and story of how our ancestors got here long ago and how exactly we are connected to them. It is important to understand our family history even if we have not met the people that originated our bloodline's life in this country.
