$100 bill
My great grandfather name (from my mom's side) was Manuel Garrido Farizo. He was born in 1900 in Zamora, Spain, in a little town called Fermoselles. When he was 19, he left Spain in search for a better life and arrived in Cuba. He worked there for a few years until the bank where he kept all his savings went bankrupt. With no money left, he went as a stowaway to San Juan, Puerto Rico. There he tried once again to earn some money. He was able to open a Hotel/Restaurant next to the port called 'El Marinero' (The Sailor). He owned this place for many years and would exchange with sailors that would stay there money from different parts of the world. He gathered quite a big collection of coins and bills from all over the world. My grandmother, gave my mom lots of coins and a very old $100 bill from the Confederate States of America. We've had this in our family and will continue to pass this and his collection to the next generation.
