One thing that is very important in my family is my cross necklace. This cross necklace has been passed down from my great great great grandmother, to my great great grandmother, to my great grandmother, to my grandmother, then to mom, then to me. This necklace is so important to my family because when First United Methodist Church was first built it did not have a fountain. The church was given to the church by my great great great grandfather. Guy Mills. When the fountain was finished he gave my great great great grandmother a cross necklace. Guy Mills was a big supporter of the church so as a thank you the church gave him the necklace. The necklace is a huge air loom that has been passed down from generation to generation and I hope to keep that legacy going.
