The person in the picture shown above is my grandpa, who made the sacrifice of bringing his family to the United States in order to have a better life. My grandpa brought his family from Colima, Mexico. They traveled here on 1977. It is significant to me because if it weren’t for my grandpa, I wouldn’t be here in California, I would over there in Colima. It contributes to who I am because if my family wouldn’t have come to the United States, I probably wouldn’t have the opportunity to be in school, go to college, or pursue my dream career.
