Family crest pin from grandma

My object is the coat of arms of my mother’s family. My great great grandparents came over from Italy over a century ago. When they came over, they also brought over pins with the Persico, my mother’s side of the family’s last name, family crest as the face of the pins. The pins have continued to be passed down from generation to generation and are still a cherished part of my family's history. The main two colors are red and blue. The blue symbolizes truth and loyalty while the red symbolizes strength, passion, power, and love. The man with wings, or an angel, acts as a protector over the family. The two headed eagle is a symbol that states that your family was part of the Byzantine Empire which took over most of Italy over 1000 years ago.
This family crest is important to me because it helps me understand a lot about my family’s history and roots. Since discovering that my family has a coat of arms, I have learned much more about my family including when they came over to America and where the pins have traveled. One day, I hope to have one of these pins in my possession and be able to tell my kids and grandkids about the history of their family from almost two centuries ago by that point.
