Family Cookbook
The object I have chosen is the Moore Family Cookbook that has been passed down through generations of my Dad's side of the family. There are thousands of recipes that span from breads to salads to casserole dishes that my family eats almost every night for dinner. Reading my great grandparents names under some of these recipes every time my family wants to cook a meal together, feels me with joy due to the thought of knowing that this recipe was made from the hands of my past relatives. It becomes a tradition every year before Christmas Day to make Poppy Seed Bread and Pumpkin Bread so we can all on Christmas Eve Day eat it together while watching a Christmas movie. Some recipes I am not fond of, but I still enjoy the ridiculous names that my great grandparents came up with at one point in time when with family. Everyone in my family eventually receives one making it something that all of us kids can look forward when growing up and moving out into our own homes. Now that I am growing older I can't wait to receive my cookbook in order to cook for my family or friends that will eventually come over to my house. I hope when they eat the food I prepared from the cookbook it will make them feel just as happy as I did when I cooked and ate from the cookbook recipes myself as a young girl. Since many of my relatives who created these recipes have passed away it means so much more to me because I can now passed down their stories through eating their delicious recipes and laughing around a table full of family memories being created daily while cooking with each other.
