My grandmother, Ruth, was born in Russia and was chased out of her home during World War II. And from me doing this project I felt like I was learning about her and her life. She was very scared to come here because she had no idea what to do when she got to New York. But when she got here she met my grandpa and she was very happy and learn to speak different languages. Also she lived for many years and a lot of people knew her for her cooking.
