I am from Colombia. I came here with my family one year ago. My object is an old toy car from Colombia. It’s a metallic toy made in Japan from 1960-1970. Its battery powered and has characteristic sounds of the Volkswagen Beetle engine. My grandfather gave it to my father when he was a child; this car was my dad’s favorite toy. When my brother was born my father gave him the car. Years later when my first nephew was born, my brother gave the old car to him. Last year my husband and Jacobo (my oldest son) traveled to Colombia and my nephew gave the old car to my son. Since then the old car toy has been in my house.This object is special to me because when I see this toy I remember my grandfather and my father.
