Cookie maker for holidays

This 40 year old cookie maker represents how my family celebrates two major events in our religion, Christmas and Easter. My Grandma bought it in Egypt for when she would make these cookies for the holidays or grind her own meat for family dinners. It was then passed down to my mom to take on making the traditional holiday cookies. With the passing on of the cookie maker my mom now makes these cookies for our family twice a year. Without this object the cookies would not have their special grooves and bumps that give the cookies their special character. These Egyptian tea cookies are a very important part of our celebration of the two holidays. It is a tradition that has been passed down from many generations in Egypt and is now in my family, and makes our holidays a lot more special.
