My object of choice would be my drum. Despite the fact it’s not exactly the most interesting of options per se, it still holds deep meaning to me due to a few reasons that I consider extremely important to my personal character, and life, though I have one main reason that I hold close to my heart. It gave me a reason to stay motivated, and work towards something. In other words, it gave me a reason to try, and that alone means more to me than anyone seems to anticipate, nevertheless understand. Receiving that drum was so important and detrimental to me making progress towards finding passion playing music instrumentally to begin with, especially with how depressed and disinterested in life I had been for years beforehand. I had no means in life, nor did I understand who I was as a person in the slightest nor what I wanted to do with myself or be in the upcoming future, whether that being the next day, or week, month, or year ahead of that moment. I hope on behalf of everyone who struggles with such issues finds their outlet, and reason to try as well. It does get better.
