A doll that my mom sent me when I was in Honduras is my artifact. My story with the Dora doll starts like this. That doll for me means a lot because it's something that my mom gave me with a lot of love and it will always be that gift that I always remember. From the day that I told my mom I wanted a doll because since childhood I always liked to play. One time my mom called me telling me that she sent something very special and with a lot of love. I did not know what it was until the day it arrived and I got my package.  I was very excited and happy at the same time. I called my mother, telling her that what she had sent me had already arrived and together we opened it even though she was behind a camera. When I realized that it was the doll, I wanted to cry with joy knowing that it was the famous Dora La Exploradora. I always took care of that doll with love when I was in Honduras.

That doll is worth a lot to me but now I gave it to my daughter so that she knows that I give it to her with the same love that my mother gave it to me. This doll represents my mom and me. She told me that when she was little her father had given her a gift, a Dora for the same reason and that meant a lot to her because in the old days they did not have opportunities to give themselves some luxuries and that is why she gave the gift of Dora knowing that for her and for me it means a lot. But now that my daughter is growing, she will have something that will represent us a lot and that shows my love for her.
