My artifact is a diamond that's in my mom’s wedding ring. My great grandparents on my dads side of the family smuggled it over during the holocaust in 1938. They got away safely but my great great grandparents were killed because they were jewish. My dad had to get the ring carved so it fit in the wedding ring.
I chose this ring because there is a story about how they escaped the Nazis and  brought it over to the US, but their friends and family were killed.
Some questions I would have if they were still alive are how did it feel to be kicked out of your homeland and have your family killed? That’s some information about the artifact I chose.
