Cross Pendant Necklace
This cross pendant necklace was given to me from my father when I was 10 as a gift for my first communion as a catholic. This necklace was once my father's, of which he has passed down to me and was brought from Ecuador. This object in a sort relates to my father's immigration story to the US since he always kept it close because it's a symbol of your safety within God's arms which for that reason, he treated it like a lucky talisman. The necklace is also forged of materials from Ecuador which also brings my father back to his old home. Objects like these help to establish or reinforce relationships with families and are also treated as memories of those relatives we care for so much.
