Crepes
Growing up my family would have crepes for breakfast about 1-2 times a month. My dad, my sister, and I would sit at the kitchen counter each with a plate in front of us waiting for our next one. My mom would make them one at a time and serve us one by one because they're always better when they're fresh. These more savory crepes, were made for my mom when she was a kid by my grandmother and is believed that this tradition was passed down by my 5th generation grandfather who was from the Alsace-Lorraine region of France/Germany. As a kid, I would always refer to these crepes as pancakes and would be surprised when I would be served traditional pancakes and not the thin buttered crepes I was used too. To this day, we still enjoy crepes together on Christmas Morning.
