My object is a family cookbook that has been passed down the family. It is special because it represents family traditions, culture, and memories shared through food. The cookbook is filled with handwritten recipes from my grandparents, parents, aunt, and cousins. Every recipe reminds the family of holidays, birthdays, and gatherings where everyone came together to cook and eat. The cookbook also tells the story of immigration and adapting to a new life in the United States. When the family moved from Mexico to the United States, food became a way for us to stay connected. Some ingredients were harder to find, so recipes changed over time.m We would mix old traditions wth new experiences. Even with these changes, the meals continued bringing fam together. The important people cnnected to this object are my grandparents who started the cookbook and my parents and uncle who conintue adding to it.
