The way everyone in my family makes collard greens is:
1. They boil water for five to ten minutes
2. Add in the Collard Greens to the boiling water
3. Add salt and pepper
4. Bake for five minutes.
This is a family recipe that’s been passed down for generations. It’s important to my family because this is the recipe that my great great grandpa Thomas Purnell used. If I had to rate my mom’s collard greens, I’d say it’s seven out of ten. It’s good, and if you enjoy it, I encourage you to make it. I hope you like it as much as I do!
