Cocktail Ring

My object is a cocktail ring. It was passed down from my great great grandmother to my great grandmother to my grandmother to my mom and then will be passed down to either my sister or me one day. This cocktail ring  is made from amethyst which is a stone and it was worn mainly on important occasions in my family’s life. It has been worn to bat mitzvahs, weddings, baby naming ceremonies, and more. This object came from my great great grandmother. My great great grandmother and great great grandfather came to America in the early 1900s from Eastern Europe. My great great grandmother is from England and my great great grandfather is from Lithuania. They both left for religious freedom. The cocktail ring is significant to my family because it was the first big present my great great grandmother got and it was from my great great grandfather. It is meaningful to my family. This object is over 100 years old and my mom still occasionally wears it to this day.
