It was made by my great-grandmother who took the recipe with her when she emigrated to America. My grandfather was the one who told me about this recipe. This recipe was made by my great-grandmother in 1945 and it is kept at my grandparents house. When my grandfather was a kid in Italy, he used to make these every Sunday morning with his mother and eat them on Sunday nights with his whole family. It is important to my family because anytime I go to my grandparents house for a holiday, my grandfather always makes these for us. It’s also important to my family because on special occasions, my siblings and I go to our grandparents house and make these with our grandparents. This object represents my culture because it reminds my grandfather of his home in Italy and the traditions that he had with his family while he lived there.
